This day 20 years ago singer Kurt Cobain died at the age of 27.
The Nirvana frontman was found dead in his home in Seattle and coroner reports later determined he had taken his own life.
The grunge band were best known for their album 'Smells Like Teen Spirit'.
Nirvana were booked to play Dublin’s RDS for the first time on the 8th of April 1994, however due to Cobain's death the eagerly anticipated gig never went ahead.
