Two people have been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting in Finglas yesterday.
The victim - who has been named locally as 41-year-old Edward O'Connor - was shot on the Ballycoolin Road at around five o'clock yesterday evening.
He was taken to James Connolly Memorial Hospital in Blanchardstown - where he was later pronounced dead.
A full post mortem will be carried out today - and the scene of the shooting - from the Premier Business Park to the Cappagh Road - remains sealed off for technical examination.
Investigating officers are calling for anyone who may have seen the shooting or knows anything about it to come forward.
