Gardaí have seized €117,000 worth of cocaine at a checkpoint in Dublin.
They stopped a van on the Outer Ring Road in Clondalkin at around 6 o'clock yesterday evening.
Officers searched the vehicle and found approximately 1.7kg of cocaine inside.
A man, aged in his 30s, was arrested at the scene.
He was taken to Ronanstown Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996. Gardaí are continuing to question the man.
He can be held for up to a week.
