The Taoiseach says Britain's King Charles is planning a visit to Ireland later this year.
Both Leo Varadker and President Michael D Higgins became the first Irish heads of state to attend a British coronation - with the Taoiseach saying it marks a new chapter in Anglo-Irish relations.
Taoiseach Leo Varadkar says being part of the event is is a significant break from the past.
"It does show how things have moved on." - Varadker
Neither the Taoiseach nor the President attended the last coronation in 1953 and Leo Varadkar says their attendance at King Charles' coronation demonstrates that the relationship between both countries is "a much better one, a much deeper one, one of neighbours and one of equals".
