Posting on twitter, the Texas native said Dublin was one of his favourite cities and that he looked forward to seeing all of his friends here next year.

Former astronaut Chris Hadfield shared pictures of Ireland from the International Space Station in 2013. He tweeted images of Dublin as well Sligo, Belfast and Kerry.
