Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars' duet Die With A Smile has become the fastest song to reach a billion streams on Spotify.
The previous record was held by Miley Cyrus with her 2023 hit Flowers.
The song was initially released as a single in August, debuting at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100, and spending eight weeks at #1 on the Billboard Global 200.

“We like to call that legendary behavior,” commented Spotify as they shared the record breaking news in an Instagram post.
Lady Gaga thanked her fans in an Instagram post for their support of the song: “Watching fans from all over the world celebrate this music has meant so much to me, to see the words of the song touch your heart and the video provoke this huge wave of dancing and fun is beautiful to watch, and I’m so grateful."
The pair are separately promoting their individual music projects, with Gaga preparing for the release of her upcoming seventh studio album, and Bruno Mars performing on another massive collab with Rosé.
