Ok, we need to see this musical NOW.
Diana: The Musical is coming to the stage later this year, and Denise Welch will take on the role of Queen Elizabeth II.
The Loose Women star is delighted to be joining the cast of the upcoming musical, headed to Hammersmith in December.

David Bryan, who plays the keyboard for Bon Jovi, wrote the music for the play and it's already done the rounds on Broadway.
There will be 2 actresses taking on the leading role of Diana. An older Diana will be played by Kerry Ellis, who is best known as the first actress to take the lead role of Elphaba when Wicked first came to the West End.
Maiya Quansah-Breed will play a younger Diana, who's been nominated for an Olivier for playing Catherine Parr in the musical Six.
Denise Welch as the Queen is maybe the most iconic British pop culture moment in the 21st Century https://t.co/I7EYzil643
