Fans of Ariana Grande who were hoping to see her in concert might have to wait a little bit longer.
The Wicked star has said she has no plans to tour with her latest album right now as she is currently “focused on acting” and would “love to do more films”.
Grande’s recent album Eternal Sunshine, featuring the massively successful hit yes, and? was released in April 2024.
“I have no plans for live shows at the moment, I was thinking about doing a mini-tour in between the Wicked films, but that is no longer happening,” she told the Variety Awards Circuit podcast.
The first Wicked film was released in November of last year, and was a box office smash hit. They’ll definitely be hoping they can make as a hit a splash when Part Two is released later this year.
“Even if it were going to be a mini thing… I like to do things a certain way, and it takes months and months and months and months to build the show, to rehearse the show, to make it what I would envision for my fans.”
“I kind of have a specific vision for things, and sometimes that will delay them, but I love singing those songs and I really love performing and being on stage right now, I don’t have a plan for that, but it’ll always be in my life. And I love those songs very much.”
However the singer got bitten by the but again when she did a mini performance or songs at the Met Gala in 2024.
“I’m really, really grateful to be focused on acting, and I feel so at home here. I hope that’s okay”, she said.
