This year's VMAs were by no means boring!
The MTV Video Music Awards were held in New York last night to honour the best in music, with some newcomers like Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan taking home big awards.
The ceremony was hosted by Megan Thee Stallion and featured live performances from Shawn Mendes, Camilla Cabello and more.
Here are the Top 7 moments people are talking about after last night's awards.
7). Megan Thee Stallion paying homage to Britney’s 2001 VMAs performance.
Think of the VMAs and you probably think of Britney’s iconic I’m A Slave 4 U performance at the 2001 ceremony where she danced with python around her neck.
Megan emulated the look to a tee complete with a green bra top and a yellow live snake — though she wasn’t putting up with the reptile for long and asked for it to be taken off her halfway through her introduction.

6). Sabrina Carpenter shifting an alien
Megan wasn’t the only artist to pay homage to Britney last night. The spoken word section of Oops I Did It Again played during Sabrina Carpenter's live performance of Taste.
And if that weren't enough to keep the audience entertained, the singer also lobbed the gob on the alien before launching into Espresso.

5). Katy Perry's Acceptance Speech
Her latest music might not be getting the reception she wants from fans and critics alike, but Katy Perry's still got it.

There’s no doubt about it, 2024 is Chappel Roan's year. The Midwestern Princess has skyrocketed to fame in the last few months following the success of her two singles Good Luck Babe! and Hot To Go.
And when it came to her first live performance at the VMAs, Roan didn’t disappoint.

3). The creep yaudience member during LL Cool J's hip hop medley performance
One of the highlights of the VMAs was LL Cool J performing a nostaglic medley of his hip hop hits.
Joined by Flavor Flav and Chuck D of Public Enemy, the rapper and actor performed a medley of hits like Mama Said Knock You Out and Bring the Noise.
Log on to Twitter though and there's one person everyone's talking about following the performance.
The camera pans to the audience and one particular member is looking... a bit sinister?

2). Benson Boone somersaulting off a piano
Another breakout star of 2024 is Benson Boone, who performed his popular hit Beautiful Things at the Video Music Awards.
An emotive song, but no one was expecting the man to somersault off the piano he was standing on!
