It is starting to resemble the plot of the film a little!
Oscar nominations came out yesterday and we had our own celebration with Cork actor Cillian Murphy getting the Best Actor nod for his role in Oppenheimer.
It was one of 13 nominations in total for the movie, which famously went head to head with Barbie in the box office over the summer.
Despite being a ground breaking and historical moment in cinema, Barbie hasn’t gotten the same recognition from the Academy - and Ryan Gosling has something to say about that!
The Canadian actor released a statement yesterday upon getting a nomination in the Best Supporting Actor category. He expressed his gratitude for the nomination, while also expressing his disappointment that Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie were overlooked in the Director and Leading Actress categories respectively.

America Ferrera, the only other Barbie star to get an acting nomination, also expressed that the moment was bittersweet for her.
“I was incredibly disappointed that they weren't nominated," she said in a statement to Variety.
"Greta has done just about everything that a director could do to deserve it. Creating this world, and taking something that didn't have inherent value to most people and making it a global phenomenon. It feels disappointing to not see her on that list."
