'I Know What You Did Last Summer' is getting a sequel!
The iconic slasher film was released in 1997, and followed four young friends—played by Jennifer Love Hewitt, Freddie Prinze Jr., Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Ryan Phillippe—who are haunted by a hook-handed killer one year after they killed a man in a hit-and-run accident.
Much to the delight of fans, Freddie and Jennifer are returning for the reboot.
In it, a young couple (played by Madelyn Cline and Joshua Orpin) are shown enjoying a relaxing night - including a bubble bath and noise-cancelling headphones.
Directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson and co-written by Robinson and Sam Lansky, the film, which is the fourth instalment in the franchise, serves as a direct sequel to the second instalment, released in 1998.
'I Know What You Did Last Summer' will be released on the 18th of July.
