It's official - The Sims movie is happening.
The company behind the popular video game - Electronic Arts (EA) - confirmed that they will be working with Amazon MGM Studios to create the movie.
Lucky Chap - Margot Robbie's production company - was also confirmed to be involved, with Kate Herron (known for Loki) set to direct.
British author and comedian Briony Redman will co-write the film according to EA's announcement.
Redman previously worked with Herron, who also directed episodes of Netflix's Sex Education.
EA said it was "too early to share more" but promised updates next year, when The Sims marks its 25th anniversary.
