So fetch!
A trailer for a modern remake of Mean Girls starring some of the original cast members has dropped.
The movie is a modern and musical rendition of the classic 2004 film… although you wouldn’t think it was a musical based on the trailer.
A lot has changed at North Shore High School but as the trailer says “plastic is forever”.
It seems while Cady still has to navigate the murky world of high school after being home schooled her whole life, she also has to deal with phenomenons that weren’t around in 2004 - like social media.
And fans of the original movie will be delighted to see Tina Fey (who also wrote both the original and remake films) reprise her role as Mrs Northbury and Tim Meadows as Principal Duvall.
And there’s been some exciting additions to the cast. Mad Men actor Jon Hamm is playing the inappropriate gym teacher, Busy Phillips is taking on the roll of Regina George’s “cool mom” and Jenna Fischer (best known for playing Pam in The US Office) features as Cady’s mom.

The new cast also includes Angourie Rice who takes on the role of Cady,Avantika Vandanapu as Karen Smith, Bebe Wood playing Gretchen Wieners and Auli'i Cravalho as Janis.
The stage musical adaptation of the hit movie opened on Broadway in 2018 and was a massive success, embarking on two national tours.
Any theatre fans this side of the Atlantic can see it in London as it’s heading to the Savoy Theatre in 2024!
