Bullet Train actor Aaron Taylor Johnson was the frontrunner for the iconic role for a long time, as well James Norton, Theo James and our own Paul Mescal.
And if you think it seems to be taking longer than usual to announce the new James Bond (Daniel Craig retired from the role after No Time To Die was released in 2021) it’s because it has!
The franchise has reportedly been thrown into chaos as it’s been rumoured there’s clashes between Bond boss Barbara Broccoli and her new collaborators at Amazon.
The relationship between them is fraught as it currently stands that the next iteration of Bond has no script, no story and no lead actor - but that hasn't stopped the bookies making odds on who the next 007 is going to be.
