We see the vision!
While it’s not been officially confirmed that a Mamma Mia 3 is in development, all the people involved seem to be up for a third edition.
Amanda Seyfried, who plays Sophie in the first two hugely successful films, was asked in a recent interview about the possibility of a third film.
"Mamma Mia 3, let's go baby,” the actress replied enthusiastically, “Everybody says it's going to happen, but I haven't seen a script."
The interviewer told the actress that Sabrina Carpenter recently performed the song Mamma Mia on stage during her Short n’ Sweet tour, and asked whether the singer could appear in the third film as Sophie’s daughter - despite only being 13 years younger than Amanda.
"Yeah - technically, she could," Seyfried said, after some initial hesitation.
"You're right. Actually, doesn't matter. You're right. You know what? Old age makeup for me. I don't mind. I'm an actor, I'll do it.”
“If Sabrina Carpenter wants to play my daughter, I'll make it happen. It's fine. I'm a big fan."
