His biopic Better Man, which depicts his life and career through a CGI monkey, is having a tough time resonating with American audiences.
The film opened in UK and Irish cinemas on the 26th of December and has been getting an impressive amount of positive reviews.
Saw Better Man and it's deffo worth the hype. Even if you're not a huge Robbie Williams fan, it's just a great film and story. The perfect balance of spectacle and heart and just a cool dingey aesthetic. pic.twitter.com/iNCJ4FacpC

However, the film made just over £4 million in the first two weeks of its opening, compared to its £90 million budget.
Speaking to NME, Robbie Williams reflected on seeing his life on depicted on big screen: “Tears. And triggering. And grief. And healing. And ego. And: ‘Look at what’s happened to me!’. It just depends on which version of me turns up for the screening on that particular day – and how much sleep I’ve had.”
“At the minute, I just wanna take all of this in. I wanna drink every moment that I can, because I’m now in a place where I can derive joy from life. I couldn’t derive any joy from life for such a long time. And I feel as though I’m getting lucky again and I’m getting another bite of the apple.”
Robbie Williams will be hitting the stage at Croke Park this summer on the 23rd of August.
