A strong choice!

Ever since Daniel Craig stepped back from the role in 2021, the search to find the next actor to play James Bond has been on.

The process is taking longer than usual, as the franchise is reported to have been “thrown into chaos” due to disagreements between Bond boss Barbara Broccoli and her new collaborators at Amazon.

The relationship between them is fraught as it currently stands that the next iteration of Bond has no script, no story and no lead actor - but that hasn't stopped the speculation on who the next 007 is going to be!

Pierce Brosnan, who played James Bond from 1995 - 2002 (and remains the only Irish man to have portrayed the iconic spy) has named his favourite to take over, and that’s Bullet Train actor Aaron Taylor Johnson.

"He got the profile, in terms of age and experience. He's got the physical prowess, the charisma, the language. He would be terrific," Brosnan said on The Ray D'Arcy Show, as he worked with him on The Greatest.

“He was the best in it," he said. "So, yes, I read the news about his chances of being Bond, so I'd take my hat off to the mate ," he said.

Aaron Taylor Johnson was the favourite to take on the role for a long time, but the longer it takes to make the decision on who the next Bond will be, it seems less like that the actor will be signing on to the role.

Who would you like to see as the next 007?
