That’s another Beatle confirmed!
Rumours have been circling for a while now that Paul Mescal is being eyed up to play the role of Paul McCartney in a new Beatles biopic.
And those were just whisperings until a recent interview with Ridley Scott where he confirmed the casting rumours were true.
According to Ridley Scott, Paul Mescal is set to star in Sony’s ‘BEATLES’ movies from Oscar-winning director Sam Mendes.

The director was in conversation with fellow filmmaker Christopher Nolan at the Directors Guild of America in Los Angeles on Tuesday, where they talked about Ridley’s upcoming movie The Dog Wars.
There had been reports that immediately after working with him on Gladiator II, Ridley Scott was eyeing up Paul to star in his next movie, so Christopher Nolan asked him was that the case.
Yes,” Ridley said before adding, “Maybe. Paul is actually stacked up, doing the Beatles next. So I may have to let him go.”
This is the second Beatles casting news that has been "confirmed" without getting an official announcement from the studio itself.
Earlier this month Ringo Starr confirmed that Barry Keoghan had signed on to play him in the upcoming Beatles biopic, and had even started learning how to play the drums.
Barry Keoghan will play Ringo Starr in Sam Mendes’ ‘BEATLES’ biopics.
