Director and filmmaker Sam Mendes have revealed the cast for The Beatles biopics, after much speculation.
Paul Mescal will star as Paul McCartney, Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr, Harris Dickinson as John Lennon, and Joseph Quinn as George Harrison.
Mendes confirmed the cast, saying the iconic band "redefined the culture and stayed with you for a lifetime".
The filmmaker added: "I had been trying to do a film for years, but I finally gave up", noting how the story he wanted to tell "was too big for one film".

The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event will be released in cinemas in April 2028. The exact release dates and the order in which each Beatle’s film have not yet been confirmed.
Mendes said each film is told from the perspective of one of the Beatles but that each intersects in their own way, and that seeing all four films in proximity tells the full story in a totally unique way.
He said: “We need big cinematic events to get people out of the house."
