FYI - there's a spoiler of the latest film below!

After Amazon MGM Studios took over creative control of the James Bond franchise in February, they are in charge of casting and directing the films going forward.

Longtime producers Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli stepped away from their roles, but will retain some ownership.

However, the new bosses are looking to make some changes.

It's reported that Amazon are seeking a "clean break" after Daniel Craig’s definitive conclusion in 2021’s Now Time To Die, which ended with the self-sacrifice of the iconic spy.

An insider told The Sun: “They can’t just pretend it didn’t happen. So they’re looking at his story as a younger man in a different era."

Line of Duty star Daniel Mays told the We're Not Getting Any Younger podcast: “I heard a rumour they’re going to cast someone very young and go back to the origins."

According to The Sun, Amazon have suggested that the next Bond movie will be set in the 1960s.

Theo James, Henry Cavill, Aaron Taylor Johnson, Leo Woodall and Tom Holland have all been rumoured to be next in line for the lead as 007.
