The Sword in the Stone is the latest in a string of Disney live action remakes.
The original Disney film was loosely based on T.H. White's novel of the same name.
The plot followed a young king Arthur on his journey to the throne.
Bryan Cogman, one of the writers for Game of Thrones, is writing the film's script.
Although Cogman writes for Game of Thrones, audiences should expect a much lighter script than that of the HBO drama.
He tweeted a picture of himself trying to pull escaliber from the stone today.
