What do you think of this potential casting?
Earlier this month, a remake of 'The Bodyguard' was confirmed.
The 1992 Oscar-nominated romantic thriller starred Whitney Houston as singer Rachel Marron who is stalked by a deranged fan and co-starred Kevin Costner as her devoted bodyguard Frank Farmer.
Since the news, pop star Taylor Swift was the top contender for the role of Rachel, largely due to her close ties with the film’s director, Sam Wrench, who directed the 2023 film about Taylor's Eras Tour.
However, there has been a new update on the potential casting this week.
Insiders have suggested that Warner Bros. have secretly been speaking to reality TV star and influencer Kim Kardashian about the opportunity.
Reports indicate that several meetings have been held already between the star and the film’s producers. A source said that Taylor’s name only came up due to fan speculation and that "Kim was always the one attached to this project". According to The Mail on Sunday, the script has been "specifically tailored" to Kim, who is anxious to make her big-screen debut as a leading lady.

Kim Kardashian has already dabbled in acting with roles in 'Disaster Movie', 'Ocean’s Eight', and 'American Horror Story'.
Unlike the original, which is known for its powerful soundtrack including 'I Will Always Love You' and 'Run To You', this new adaptation may take a different approach.
A source said: 'Everyone is assuming the remake will be a musical but there has been talk of making a sequel for years and most of the talk has been about taking it in a different direction, using a global celebrity but not necessarily having it as a musical, more a straightforward drama.
"Let's face it, how can you top Whitney?"
