A sequel to one of our festive faves The Holiday is in the works – and a lot of the original cast have reportedly signed up!
According to insider tips, Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet are all set for round 2 of the Christmas classic.
The original film was released in 2006 and following two women from very different backgrounds who swap homes during the festive season. Both of them experience severe culture shock, but end up finding love in each other's worlds.
It's been 17 years since we last touched in with Iris and Amanda, what do we think has happened since? Well it seems like we're going to find out!
An insider told the Sun that all of the original cast (Kate Winslset, Cameron Diaz, Jude Law and Jack Black) have all signed up for the sequel.
"The plan is to start rolling on scenes next year, primarily in the U.K. and in Europe, but the main talent are all signed up and on board."
"It’s one of the most successful movies of its kind and still enjoyed every year by millions of fans around the world – it makes perfect sense to revisit those characters and find out what became of their lives after they hooked up.
"It’ll be funny, poignant, and heartwarming – just what everyone wants for Christmas."
We know sequels to popular films years on can be very hit or miss, but we'll keep our hopes up for this one and hope the casting rumours are true!
