Ridley Scott’s Gladiator won’t be starring in his latest venture.
Paul Mescal was reportedly set to star in the director’s next project The Dog Stars, but now it looks like he’s being replaced by Jacob Elordi.
It’s being said that Paul Mescal has scheduling conflicts and couldn’t commit to the role.
Speaking to Christopher Nolan during a panel talk last month, Ridley Scott let slip why Paul Mescal wouldn’t be joining him for The Dog Stars.
“Paul is actually stacked up, doing the Beatles next. So I may have to let him go," he said.

While Paul Mescal is said to be playing Paul McCartney in a Beatles biopic produced by Sony, nothing has been confirmed officially as of yet.
