Wildcats everywhere wave your hands up in the air! High School Musical 4 is happening. Disney Channel has confirmed that it’s working on a new instalment of the TV movie franchise.
Disney Channel President Gary Marsh said: "High School Musical is part of Disney Channel's DNA.
"It embodies all that we stand for. As a way of continuing to embrace that heritage, we're excited to announce 'the start of something new' as we launch a search for a new class of East High Wildcats to star in a fourth installment of the 'High School Musical' franchise."
The original movies, which starred Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale and Corbin Bleu, first premiered in 2006.
There’s been no confirmation when the movie will air or if any of the original cast members will return but it’s reported casting will begin soon.
