We reckon this is a good choice!

British actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson has become the new favourite to play the next James Bond. His odds of taking over the iconic role over from Daniel Craig were slashed to 2/1 over the weekend.

If you're not familiar with the 32-year-old actor, he first came onto our screens as heartthrob Robbie in teen romcom Angus Thongs & Perfect Snogging, before going on to play leading roles in Kick Ass and Nowhere Boy. Most recently he starred in Bullet Train alongside Brad Pitt.

According to a source The Sun, the 32-year-old went for a screen test for Bond back in September and the producers, including the famous Barbara Brocolli, "loved him".

With this news, he's the bookies' new favourite to become the next Bond!

Other candidates for the role are James Norton (known for Happy Valley) and Tom Hardy. It's reported though that at 45, Tom Hardy has already been dismissed as being too old to be the next 007!

Another factor fuelling the rumours is that Aaron Taylor-Johnson is after bulking up, possibly trying to get into the physical shape of a secret agent?

When asked about the rumours that he'll be playing the next James Bond, Aaron has managed to play it down quite well.

Speaking to Vanity Fair he said that he was flattered but reiterated that he just wanted to "stay grounded, stay around the people that you love and love you back, and stay in that world".
