A lucky cohort of cinema fans got to see an exclusive preview of Gladiator 2, the highly anticipated sequel to Ridley Scott’s Oscar-winning epic.
It’s been 24 years since Russell Crowe took to our screens as Maximus and bellowed the iconic line “Are you not entertained?”
Now it’s our very own Paul Mescal's turn to enter the colosseum as he takes on the starring role in the long-awaited follow-up, Gladiator 2.
Paramount Pictures, who are behind the upcoming blockbuster, are currently hosting CinemaCon in Las Vegas, and previewed an exclusive sneak peak of Gladiator 2 for those in attendance.
And in the reports we’re hearing back - it’s time to get excited!
Wow! Joseph Quinn steals the scenes as the Emperor in the first exclusive look at #Gladiator II trailer. Pedro Pascal is the emperor's gladiator while Paul Mescal is the people's gladiator. Denzel Washington is a sort of puppet master. Gladiator fights are bigger & more brutal

Ridley Scott, the film's director, has high hopes for Gladiator 2, expressing that it’s “possibly even more extraordinary than the first.” A tall order to fill as the original Gladiator won the Oscar for Best Picture!
Gladiator 2 will tell the story of Lucius Verus - who was a child in the first film - follow on as a gladiator in Maximus’s footsteps.
The film also stars big names like Pedro Pascal, Denzel Washington and Joseph Quinn (Stranger Things).
Gladiator 2 will be released in cinemas later this year, so we think it’s high time they showed the rest of us a glimpse of what to expect too!
