He's starring in a Broadway production next month!
George Clooney has said he is “not doing romantic films anymore”.
The 63-year-old Hollywood actor has starred as the romantic lead in films including One Fine Day (1996) and Ticket To Paradise (2022).
Speaking 60 Minutes for CBS News, George explained the reason, saying he is to do with his age.
He said: “Look, I’m 63 years old. I’m not trying to compete with 25-year-old leading men. That’s not my job. I’m not doing romantic films anymore."
While we loved watching the romcom, George is now fully focused on making his Broadway debut on April 3th in the historical drama Good Night, And Good Luck.
The play depicts Murrow’s on-air showdown with Senator Joseph McCarthy who was a tireless crusader against communism, leading to a mass hysteria known as the “Second Red Scare”.
The production is a play adapted from the Oscar-nominated 2005 film he directed, co-wrote and acted in.
