Amy Adams makes contact with aliens in the first extended trailer for Arrival.
Directed by Blade Runner 2 director Denis Villeneuve, the sci-fi thriller shows a future where alien ships suddenly land all across the earth in one day. Amy acts as the human ambassador to the alien race, attempting to make contact with them as she is a language expert.
With no idea whether the aliens come in peace or war, Amy's character Louise Banks is sent inside the alien ships to investigate. It then becomes a race against time, as different governments threaten to attack before the aliens can strike first.
Arrival hits cinemas in the US on November 11th. An Irish release date has yet to be confirmed.
