Who's the fairest of them all?
A cast announcement trailer for the fifth instalment of Shrek has been released by Dreamworks.
It sees Mike Myers returning as the ogre, alongside Princess Fiona, voiced by Cameron Diaz, with Zendaya set to voice the couple's daughter, Felicia.
The video clip shows Shrek and Donkey, voiced by Eddie Murphy, looking into a magic mirror, asking: "Who's the fairest of them all?" before it replies: "Shrek of course'. A series of images of the ogre pouting, dancing in a black leather bodysuit and shirtless with a ripped chest in TikTok style are then shown.
However, some fans have taken to social media to express their feelings about the "off-putting" animation redesign of the characters.
I’m not a fan of the Shrek redesign/model imho
I appreciate the more cartoony style they are going for, but I was a really big fan of how ugly and more “realistic” the old facial proportions were
Hoping it looks better in the final release because ooooooof pic.twitter.com/CxjXTHcom5

This new animation style for #Shrek5 is really bad. Looks really unfinished and clunky. Honestly gives the vibes of a low budget dvd sequel. Don’t understand the change from the prior movies. pic.twitter.com/pCFnQHs8wN

Why does the animation look like an AI interpretation of what Shrek 5 could look like 💔 https://t.co/O1DcTCqfMH pic.twitter.com/M16DYYQYKE
