A three-day festival is to be held in Chicago to honour everyone’s favourite fictional troublemaker: Ferris Bueller. According to WGN-TV, the event will take place at the end of May to mark the 30th anniversary of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off - which was released in cinemas in June 1986.
A live re-creation of the films ‘Twist and Shout’ parade will reportedly feature at Ferris Fest - along with a bus tour of locations from the movie and a special screening of the film.
Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, which was directed by John Hughes, starred Matthew Broderick as high school student Ferris Bueller - who skips school with his girlfriend Sloane Peterson (Mia Sara) and his friend Cameron (Alan Ruck) and goes on an adventure around downtown Chicago.
