Pierce Brosnan has praised the idea of a gay 007 in the future.
The former Bond actor is fully on board with this idea, but has admitted that producer Barbara Broccoli probably wouldn't like it.
Interviewed in Details, the 62 year old actor said "Sure. Why not?" when asked about whether he could picture a gay Bond:
"Actually, I don’t know how it would work. I don’t think Barbara would allow a gay Bond to happen in her lifetime. But it would certainly make for interesting viewing."
Brosnan went on to suggest racial changes would be more realistic for Bond at the moment:
"Let’s start with a great black actor being James Bond. Idris Elba certainly has the physicality, the charisma, the presence. But I think Daniel [Craig] will be there for a while yet."
The latest Bond flick, Spectre, is being released this December.
