The classic 80s film is getting a reboot!
35 years after the original, Beetlejuice is getting a sequel.
Warner Bros officially announced the news this week that Beetlejuice 2 will be hitting our screens in 2024.
The wacky horror comedy is a "long-awaited" sequel to the 1988 Tim Burton movie, which starred Michael Keaton as a mischievous poltergiest.
It has a strong start, Tim Burton is signed on to direct again, and leading man Michael Keaton is also on board! A source has reported that Winona Ryder, who played the gloomy Lydia, is also reprising her role.
In the original film, a recently deceased young couple (played by Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis) call on Beetlejuice to haunt the new occupants of their old house and drive them out.
The movie was a big success at the time, and spawned an animated TV series and Tony Award-nominated Broadway musical.
Now the film is getting a sequel, it's being reported that Jenna Ortega (who's on the rise right now following the success of Wednesday on Netflix) will play the daughter of Winona Ryder's character. A1 casting in our opinion, two very spooky gals!

Justin Theroux is also joining the cast of the sequel according to reports.
So it's got a strong cast and the same director is returning, we have high hopes for this sequel!
