The project is not a remake of the famous 2000 film that made Christian Bale a household name, but rather a new take on the satirical horror novel.
American Psycho is set in the in 1980s New York City, and follows the story of an investment banker who leads a double life as a serial killer.
Austin Butler is no stranger to playing a psycho, recently starring as Feyd Rautha in Dune: Part Two.
The actor is developing a reputation as an actor who commits intensely for roles. He went so deep into the role of Elvis that he continued talking in the singer’s accent long after the film was shot.
Austin Butler responds to those that say they still hear traces of Elvis' accent in his speaking voice:
“I had three years where that was my only focus, so I'm sure there's pieces of him in my DNA and I’ll always be linked.” pic.twitter.com/qj3jCDzktS
