Alicia Vikander is following in the footsteps of Angelina Jolie. The actress has signed up to play Lara Croft in the new Tomb Raider film.
Jolie starred as Croft in the first two adaptations of the games series more than ten years ago.
According to reports, Daisy Ridley, Emilia Clarke, Cara Delevigne and Gemma Arterton were all considered for the role.
In February, Vikander won best supporting actress for her role in The Danish Girl - opposite Eddie Redmayne. She's recently just finished filming Jason Bourne with Matt Damon.
Lara Croft first hit our screens in 1996 when Tomb Raider was released on PlayStation and PC.
