Further proof that the Irish are taking over!
Dublin Actress Alisha Weir has made Forbes' famous '30 Under 30' list under the entertainment section.
The 14-year-old hails from Knocklyon and made her big debut when she starred in the musical film adaptation of Roald Dahl's Matilda in 2022.
According to her profile in Forbes, Alisha is "the second-youngest lister in Forbes Under 30 Europe Entertainment history".
"Alisha Weir starred as Matilda Wormwood in 2022's Matilda: The Musical, holding her own against acting royalty like Emma Thompson and Andrea Riseborough," the profile reads.
"The young star was just 13 when she scooped the Dublin Film Critics' Circle award for Breakthrough Artist (Irish) for her performance, and 14 as of this list's publication - making her the second-youngest lister in 'Forbes Under 30 Europe Entertainment' history (after Millie Bobby Brown in 2018)."
"Weir got her start at nine years old, treading boards across Dublin's historic theatres in musicals such as Annie, The Wizard of Oz, and Oliver!."
What's next for this promising young star?
Well she's currently starring in Abigail, a new horror film made here in Ireland and co-written by Irish screenwriter Stephen Shields.

Alisha isn't the only Irish talent to appear on Forber's 30 Under 30 Europe Entertainment list. Dublin superstar Jazzy who had her breakout hit last year with 'Giving Me' was also honoured for her achievements.
The list also featured the filmmakers behind An Irish Goodbye, the Belfast film which won the Oscar for Best Live Short in 2023.
