With a huge price tag
Strangers Things star Millie Bobby Brown is set to lead another Netflix blockbuster.
The Electric State, helmed by the Russo Brothers, was originally a Universal Pictures title.
However, due to the steep price tag of the blockbuster, the film studios exited and Netflix stepped in to cover the $200 million cost instead.
This new production will see Netflix and the Russo Brothers adapt a sci-fi art book named The Electric State.
From Swedish designer and author Simon Stålenhag, the story focuses on an orphaned teen and her robot as they embark on a cross-country mission across the American west.
Stålenhag also created Tales From The Loop, which was previously adapted into a Prime Video series.
Brown currently stars as Eleven in the hit Netflix sci-fi series Stranger Things.
