Rats, mice, ants and maggots have been spotted on the loose in Beaumont Hospital this year.
According to details released under the Freedom of Information Act, there have been 45 sightings of pests in the facility in 2019.
The hospital has spent €25,000 on pest control services this year, which is double the bill for 2018.
Sinn Féin's health spokesperson, Louise O'Reilly, says there seems to be a problem.
"It's quite disturbing that rats have been seen in the vicinity of the hospital. It's good to know that Beaumont are dealing with it -- they do seem to have spent quite an amount of money on it," she said.
"It might make more sense to put more permanent measures in place... to make sure patients are kept away from any vermin or any infestation," she added.
