There's concern that work on MetroLink could stall Ballymun Kickhams' move to their new grounds.
The northside club, home to Dubs defender Philly McMahon (main picture, Inpho), had been planning to move from grounds near the airport to new digs inside the M50 -- closer to Ballymun town centre.
But Local Fianna Fáil councillor Paul McAuliffe says it's now feared the National Transport Authority wants to use their new site as a construction depot.
He said the they were ready to cooperate with the NTA, the club wasn't prepared to give up on their new home.
"We've been planning that for the last number of years, but unfortunately we had news before Christmas that the NTA are considering using this site partially for a depot," he said.
"We want to work with the NTA, but we won't have anything stand in the way of Ballymun Kickhams having their pitch developed."
