Whitehall singer Melanie McCabe is doing us proud on the XFactor with Gary Barlow describing her performance at the weekend as the “best audition of the day”. It could be 4th time lucky for the 20 year old singer who first auditioned at the age of 14. She's come so close in previous years making it as far as Kelly Roland's judge's houses in 2011 but failing to make the live shows.
This could be Melanie's year though – Louis Walsh was reduced to tears during her audition and Melanie has told 98FM how the XFactor judge has kept in touch with her over the years offering his support.
Melanie has told 98FM how winning the show would change her life and help her buy a house for her family who are in the middle of losing their home. The XFactor is making them feel positive about the future so fingers crossed she goes all the way.
