A married couple has been granted bail on drugs and money laundering charges.
Gardaí in Dublin discovered a significant amount of cannabis and money believed to have been the proceeds of a crime.
31-year-old Diego dos Santos Carvalho and his wife, Nela Carvalho, with an address of Royal Canal View, Phibsborough, appeared before Dublin District Court today.
Both are charged with possessing €100,000 worth of cannabis at their home address.
Mr Carvalho has two additional charges: possessing over €340,000 in crime proceeds at his residence and another €5,000 worth of cannabis at Goldsmith Street in the city’s northside when his car was stopped and searched.
He made no reply when charged, with Gardaí believing the money seized was the proceeds of drug dealing.
Mr Carvalho's bail was set with a 10 thousand euro surety and involved him surrendering his passport and signing on to a local Garda Station.
