Mara Wilson Says Robin Williams Was Like An 'Uncle' To Her On Set Of Mrs Doubtfire

Mara Wilson was one of the biggest 'child stars' of the 1990's.

Many of us know her from her roles in movies such as 'Mrs Doubtfire' and 'Matilda'.

She told Rebecca and Brendan on 98FM's Big Breakfast that Robin Williams and Danny DeVito were both like "uncles" to her on the sets of each movie .

Mara 'retired' from acting in 2000 to focus on writing-  plays, her blog and in 2016 she released her memoir 'Where Am I Now?: True Stories of Girlhood and Accidental Fame'.

Mara has taken up a few acting roles in recent years, including voicing 'Jill Pill' in Netflix animation 'Bojack Horseman'.

Netflix have just released the cast line up for their adaptation of 'Matilda, The Musical', however Mara says she has not been asked to be involved. Read more about that here.
