Gardaí are hunting for a gunman who shot a man in the stomach in the west of the city last night.
It happened outside a busy Lidl shopping centre on Blakestown Road in Blanchardstown.
The victim in his forties, looked for shelter in the busy supermarket where he was soon helped by Dublin Fire Brigade paramedics - before being rushed to hospital.
He's being treated for injuries which are described as non-life threatening.
The Garda chopper was quickly in the air above.
A large Garda presence remains in the area today and a car found burned out nearby is being examined to see if it may be connected to the attack.
