The Government has delayed the introduction of mandatory covid-19 tests for international passengers arriving into the country.
The measure was supposed to come into effect today but has been delayed by 48 hours.
It requires all international arrivals to show proof of a negative antigen test taken within the previous 48 hours, or a negative PCR taken within the previous 72 hours.
The Justice Minister says the delay relates to the signing of regulations and was not intentional.
Nightclub owner Ian Redmond, arrived back into Dublin this morning, after spending over $200 on testing in the US;
"To arrive back into Dublin Airport this morning with nobody asking for anything other than a passenger locator form is a bit disheartening after spending all that money and it's not just me all the passengers at the baggage carousel were giving out about it."
