An investigation has been launched after a man in north Dublin was caught impersonating Gardaí, by trying to pull over cars using fake blue lights.
It's understood the man signaled a car to pull in in the Baldoyle area at around 3pm yesterday.
The vehicle was being driven by plain clothes officers.
They searched the fake Garda car and seized a number of counterfeit items, including a fake Garda badge.
No arrests have been made. Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
