A man is due to be charged in connection with a series of robberies in the Clontarf area.
Gardaí were called to the Malahide Road at around 2AM on Sunday after reports of an incident.
They found a man aged in his 20's with a number of items they suspected were stolen.
He tried to run away but was arrested by Gardaí a short distance away. He was arrested and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
Gardaí then recovered several other items including five bicycles, a power washer, chainsaw, leaf blower and various tools.
The man is due before the Criminal Courts of Justice this morning.
