Gardaí have appealed for witnesses after a shooting in the Ballyfermot area.
A man was seriously injured and taken to hospital last night after being shot a number of times.
The incident happened at around 7.30pm yesterday evening at Ballyfermot Cresent in Dublin 20.
No one else was injured and no arrests have been made. The scene was preserved for a technical examination.
Gardaí have appealed to anyone who may have dash cam footage from the Ballyfermot Crescent area, between 7pm and 7.30pm last night, to make this footage available to Gardaí.
