A man accused of trying to murder three men at a pub in Dublin claims doctored evidence is being used to facilitate what he described as a 'show trial'.
Alan Wilson, with a last address at New Street Gardens, Dublin 8, denies any involvement in the 2010 shooting at The Players Lounge pub.
In the early hours of July 26th 2010, a lone gunman opened fire outside The Players Lounge pub in Fairview, Dublin 3.
The doorman was shot in the head and two customers were also hit.
Today, Alan Wilson pleaded not guilty to the attempted murder of Brian Masterson, Wayne Barrett and Austin Purcell.
He also denied having two guns and ammunition at the pub on that night.
At his arraignment this morning, he began reading from a prepared statement which claimed evidence had been doctored.
He described the case as a 'show trial'.
Ms Justice Tara Burns interjected and told him his barrister would have an opportunity to put his defence forward during the trial, which is due to open on Thursday and is expected to last up to five weeks.
