Gardaí arrested a man in his 70s yesterday evening, after a woman was assaulted in a house in Dublin 8.
Officers were called to a home on Ava Maria Road in Maryland shortly after 7.30pm.
The woman who is also in her 70s was treated for her injuries at the scene and the man was taken to Keven Street Garda Station.
He has since been released and a file is being prepared for the DPP.
