A 31 year-old man is expected in court today, charged in connection with the discovery of a gun in Dublin over a week ago.
The semi-automatic pistol was found at the Stardust Memorial Park in Coolock shortly after 9pm on the 5th of October.
A number of rounds of ammunition were also recovered as part of the operation, that was targeting organised crime gangs on the northside.
As part of an investigation into the incident detectives based at Coolock Garda Station arrested a man on Friday evening and held him under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act.
The man is due before Dublin District Court later this morning.
